Rotary
Club of Folsom Lake

Volume 1 | Issue 2

Welcome to another issue of our weekly bulletin! Find out who our upcoming speakers are, what we covered during the last weekly meeting, and learn more about our Member of the Week.
Mark your calendars
You will not want to miss our club meeting on May 22 when we hear from 3 Strands Global Foundation, Rotary's partner in our battle against human trafficking, on where we are on the important mission to end human trafficking across the globe.
Announcements
The show must go on so we are kicking out our past president, President Sam. Let's show him some love and appreciation for all he's done for us. Come celebrate his departure on May 29 at Chicago Fire on Sutter Street at 5:00 pm.
Last week's Club Assembly
On May 15 we had a fun and lively Club Assembly. We shared the latest community projects that the Folsom Lake Rotary Foundation funded, new Leave of Absence and Mini-Grant Request forms that we adopted, and perspectives on how to delight guests that visit our club.
Member of the Week
Terri Haverty is one of our club's founding members and is the leader of our yearly Book Swap project to encourage literacy in local elementary schools. On May 8, she single-handedly organized the books in the cafeteria of Blanche Sprentz Elementary School. The following day she worked both shifts at Blanche Sprentz and made sure all the kids had a great time picking out their favorite books. Terri loves to volunteer for our club's community service activities and is a true role-model of "Service Above Self!"
