We had an action-packed Club Assembly on July 10. We drank, we inducted, we laughed, we debated, and we captured it all on Facebook Live for the first time. Fred Sabbe inducted the 2019-2020 Folsom Lake Rotary Board in a touching ceremony. Our El Presidente gave an acceptance speech where he described his vision and gave us our theme for the year, "Connect to Grow."
We even had a lively debate on the topic, "Which is best local service or international service?" Of course, they are both best and, in passionately arguing for their side, our debate teams brought to light the importance of doing both.
Fred Sabbe is the retired founder of Sabbe and Associates Inc, an insurance company. He has been in Rotary since 1983 and joined our club in 2010. That's dedication! Fred was our president for the 2017-2018 year and continues to serve our club through thick and thin. Most recently, Fred inducted our incoming board in a small ceremony during our club assembly. Fred gives his time, treasure, and wisdom generously to Rotary and Rotarians. We value his fellowship every week and look forward to many more years of service with the Kemo Sabbe!
